NEW MUSIC?!


Hello again! We hope you’ve all been keeping
well! We’ve got some big news to share: We are happy to announce the release of our first single, and a music video to go along with it, from our upcoming album! The song
is called “Do Nada” and it was written in collaboration with our good friend,
and legend of the game Odario Williams! Along with “Do Nada” Odario has also release a remix of
the classic Good Info tune “Fringes”! You can have a listen to both here! Check out the music video here
We’re incredibly proud of how these tunes and would love for you to hear them!

Album Update!

Hello, hello everyone.We hope you’ve been keeping well.Its been a busy couple of months for us. We managed to play some pretty cool shows in different cities for once, (including Big Winter Classic in Calgary and Winterruption in Regina!) and we’ve all but finished our album! We’ve really been taking our time, making sure we’re 100% happy with everything we’re doing so the album may still take a minute yet. BUT fear not, there will be some new Good Info music dropping this summer!On top of that we have a bunch of really cool shows planned which we will be letting y’all know about soon, so stay tuned!-LK

Debut Album?!?!Well, well, well. It’s been a minute. Hopefully you’ve been keeping up with us through our other social media accounts, but if you haven’t been, my apologies! From now on we will be writing blog posts more regularly and&#38;nbsp;keeping our website up to date!
A lot has happened since we last spoke! We had a couple of big gigs over the summer, including opening up for Too Many Zoos at the Edmonton Jazz fest over the summer, but we’ve now transitioned to something else. We are currently working on our debut album with our friend Arnel Either at Royal Studio!! We’re super excited about what we’ve been working on and we can’t wait to share new music with everyone!&#38;nbsp; We won’t give too much away just yet, but we’re hoping for a Summer 2023 release!
We hope to keep you all posted on all the exciting things going on right here, so stay tuned!-LK

	Well . . . it’s finally happening. 

We celebrated our fourth birthday just a few weeks ago. And this whole time, we’ve gone without releasing our own music. It’s been pressing on our domes for the past couple of years, but the pandemic was the last ingredient needed to make it glaringly obvious that it was time.&#38;nbsp;

We’re really proud of the incredible community that has formed around our music over the years. Live music. That’s something special. People who came out to shows didn’t do so because they took a listen to our music on spotify and thought, ‘I approve’. They came because a friend brought them, or because Jamie’s poster looked too good to pass up, or because we we’re playing their favourite rapper’s tunes. Word of mouth.&#38;nbsp;
 We don’t ever want that to change. But with this release (and those upcoming!), you can take the music home with you and share it with those near and far. Fringes is our first single for a reason. It’s the song we’ve felt our community connect with every time it’s heard. Nowadays, there’s rarely a show it isn’t played.&#38;nbsp;- B

	We Tried to shoot a Music Video&#38;nbsp;

Viv and Lex
	We’ve been connected to Edmonton’s design and photography communities for a minute. Over the past couple of years, two amazing visual storytellers, Alex Milo and Vivian Han-Tat, have been strong supporters of our music. Eventually we could expect to see them in the crowd at every show. When we started to think about releasing music, they reached out about working on a video with us. A year later and . . . it didn’t quite end up happening.&#38;nbsp;

Instead Edmonton Happened. An unexpected snowfall and a sudden 10-degree shift in the weather. In mid-September. We found ourselves running to our cars between takes to bring back the feeling in our hands. Who knew air-playing was so hard. What we did walk away with were some good laughs, a great story, creative partnerships turned into deeper friendships, and some unbelievable photographs gracing this website and (soon) a few other spots.

Oh, and about one-third of a music video.

	Sometime Last Summer
	Connell Copped a Studio Space&#38;nbsp;

	With Lukas heading into med. school, Andre and I (Biboye) doing our victory lap at MacEwan’s music program, Connell was 2 years out of school and slowly looking out for a studio space that wasn’t his bedroom. 

Thanks to the ever-connected world we live in, Connell copped a spot just a walk away from school. After just a few rehearsals here, it feels like home. I’m so excited about all the sounds that have and will take shape here.

	Bio: Edmonton based ensemble Good Information returns from a short hiatus in Finland to debut a host of original compositions written in Finland. The band boasts a sound rooted in jazz but borrowing from head-nodding hip-hop loops, soulful neo-soul harmonies and math-rock’s dizzying time signatures. Their unique brand of “jazz with a beat-aesthetic” shines through interplay woven over minimalist structures; one moment they’re a groove-making machine, the next, a blur of collective improvisation. 
Good Information maintains the traditional elements of small-combo jazz, allowing the music to take shape in the moment as they react to each other. Good information has become a significant part of the local music community through their unique distinct shows. Most significantly, their “REJAZZ” show series, which features the music of popular hip-hop artists arranged for their jazz context. Each happens for one night only. Alongside local rappers appearing as guests, they never fail to fill the house. So far, the series has covered Kendrick Lamar, Tyler The Creator, A Tribe Called Quest and Frank Ocean, Kanye West (arranged for the band + string quartet), MF DOOM, Childish Gambino, Doechii, and most recently, OutKast (with 2 300-person sold out shows Vancouver and Edmonton).
